The gaming industry is at a crossroads, with a growing emphasis on sustainability and responsible gaming. In response to this shift, the European Lotteries (EL) and the World Lottery Association (WLA) are joining forces to host a seminal event in the vibrant city of Milan, Italy. From September 16 to 18, 2026, the Sustainability & Responsible Gaming Seminar 2026 will bring together the brightest minds in the sector to discuss emerging trends, evolving expectations, and innovative approaches to strengthen player protection and social responsibility.
The seminar will serve as a platform for the unveiling of the new EL Responsible Gaming Standards and major WLA sustainability initiativessetting the stage for the future of the gaming industry. This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about driving impact and raising standards in the gaming world.
Registration and Participation
Registration for the seminar is now open to EL/WLA Lottery MembersAssociate Membersand even non-members. Upon registration, participants will receive a written confirmation with more details. It’s important to note that as of August 25, 2026, all registration cancellations will be charged unless replaced by a colleague.

The seminar will feature keynote interventions from internationally recognized experts, as well as practical case studies and best practices from EL and WLA Members. This unique platform will facilitate the exchange of ideas, measurement of impact, and definition of the next generation of responsible and sustainable gaming leadership. Who Should Attend
This seminar is tailored for professionals with a specific interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and Responsible Gaming. It is also relevant for those engaged in Corporate AffairsPublic Relationsand Corporate Communications activities. The event will kick off with a welcome reception on the evening of Wednesday, September 16, and conclude on Friday, September 18, 2026, around 13:00 with lunch.
Venue and Logistics
The seminar will take place at the Marriott Hotel Milanlocated at Via G. Washington 66, 20146 Milan, Italy. Please note that airport/hotel/venue transfers are not organized. The seminar will be conducted exclusively in English.
The fee for participation includes access to the seminar and meals during the seminar and evenings. However, it does not include hotel accommodation. Participants are requested to book their own accommodation for the nights of September 16 and 17 at the Marriott Hotel Milan. A preferential rate of 310€ per night for single occupancy has been arranged, which includes VAT and breakfast. The city tax of 10€ is not included and must be paid at check-out. Evening Activity: A Night to Remember
On the second evening, September 17, participants are invited by Sisal S.p.A. to join a guided city sightseeing tour and visit the iconic SNAI San Siro Racecourse. The tour will cover the main attractions in the city center before proceeding to the racecourse, one of the most important and historic sports facilities in Europe. Upon arrival, guests can join a 45-minute guided tour in English, focusing on the history and structure of the racecourse, or proceed directly to the welcome aperitif followed by a seated dinner.
