Known for their work on the 2025 reboot of The Naked Gun Gregor and Mand are set to bring the game’s chaotic and comedic spirit to life. The project will be produced by Neal H. MoritzToby Ascher and Toru Nakahara the visionary team behind the successful Sonic franchise.
Exploring the New Adaptations
The first project in this exciting lineup is the feature adaptation of Crazy Taxi. Since its debut in 1999, Crazy Taxi has captivated players with its high-speed, punk-rock energy as they navigate chaotic city streets, dodging traffic and chasing tips. The latest installment in the franchise, Crazy Taxi: World Tour is scheduled for release in. The film adaptation promises to capture the game’s unique blend of humor and adrenaline, offering a fresh take on this beloved franchise.
The Sonic Animated Series
In addition to Crazy Taxi, Netflix and Sega are developing a new animated series featuring the iconic character Sonic the Hedgehog. This series, currently in development with Carlos Stevens and Toru Nakahara is designed for an upper preschool audience. It aims to present Sonic and his friends as heroes, offering a high-voltage, comedic, and emotionally grounded experience. The series is built for kids who want to feel a sense of edge, attitude, and camaraderie, making it a perfect introduction to the world of Sonic for younger viewers.
Stranger Than Heaven: A Live-Action Epic
From the creators of the Like a Dragon and Yakuza series, Stranger Than Heaven is set to receive a live-action film adaptation.
