These adjustments, shared in a recent blog post, are aimed at tackling the character’s overwhelming strength, particularly when paired with the new character, Phoenix. Vanguard players, in particular, have voiced their frustrations over increasingly difficult battles due to Wolverine’s enhanced abilities.

Details of the Nerf

NetEase’s blog post emphasized the need to “temper Logan’s rage and slightly reduce his survivability.” The developers recognized that Wolverine’s new Team-Up Ability with Phoenix had made him a force to be reckoned with, creating a gameplay atmosphere that felt more like a mutiny than a heroic showdown for Vanguards. To address this, adjustments have been made to his Team-Up Ability, which is now calibrated to lower his threat level against Vanguard characters.

Specifically, Wolverine’s Berserk Claw Strike will see a reduction in damage per attack, and the maximum range of this ability has also been trimmed. On top of that, his healing passive, known as Regenerative Healing Factor, has a longer cooldown period. It used to be 90 seconds, but now players will have to wait 105 seconds before Wolverine can unleash this powerful ability again. Additionally, the cooldown after securing a kill has been increased from 10 seconds to 12 seconds, making him a bit less daunting in extended skirmishes.
