Sony has announced that on November 17, 2026 a batch of twelve titles will vanish from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. The removal is part of the service’s regular rotation, where fresh titles are added each month while older ones are retired. Once the deadline passes, subscribers will lose access to these games unless they purchase them separately.
Games leaving the PlayStation Plus catalog
The confirmed list features a mix of blockbusters and indie gems. Among the high-profile departures are Red Dead Redemption II and Grand Theft Auto V, two of the most streamed titles on the platform. The full roster includes:
- Red Dead Redemption II
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Football Manager 26 Console
- Thank Goodness You’re Here!
- The Talos Principle 2
- Cricket 24
- Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom
- Hotshot Racing
- Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break
- Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair
- Rapala Fishing: Pro Series
- Yet Another Zombie Defense HD
Players have roughly three weeks to download and play these titles before they disappear. The list reflects the US PlayStation Store; regional variations may exist.
September 2026: What topped the PlayStation Store charts
While the catalog is shrinking, the PlayStation Store saw a vibrant set of titles climbing the download rankings in September. On the PS5, the strongest performers in the United States were Marvel’s Wolverine followed closely by EA Sports FC 27. European users showed a similar pattern, with EA Sports FC 27 leading and Marvel’s Wolverine in second place.
Other noteworthy entries across platforms included:
- NBA 2K27 – strong sales on both PS5 and PS4.
- Grand Theft Auto V – continued popularity despite its upcoming removal from PS Plus.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II – a persistent favorite in the free-to-play segment.
- Minecraft and Valheim – solid performance on PS5 and PS4.
- Resident Evil 4 – high placement on both console and VR listings.
On the PS VR2 front, titles such as I Am Cat, Horizon Call of the Mountain, and Beat Saber led the chart, reflecting the growing appetite for immersive experiences. Free-to-play games like Fortnite, Roblox, and Apex Legends remained dominant across both PS5 and PS4 libraries.
New free game: Dominoes Together – easy Platinum without PS Plus
Beyond catalog updates and download charts, Sony has introduced another item to the PSN catalog that requires no PlayStation Plus subscription: Dominoes Together. The title recreates the classic tabletop game in a digital, online-multiplayer format for up to four participants.
Key features include:
- Free-to-play access with instant matchmaking.
- Online play supporting up to four players, with bots filling empty seats.
- Customizable avatars, tiles, and tables for a personal touch.
- A leaderboard system that encourages competitive climbing.
The game is also renowned for its easy Platinum trophy. Trophy hunters report achieving the award in as little as one hour by adjusting match settings – for example, selecting the “Classic with Points” mode, setting a low target score, and playing against AI opponents to speed up the process. Some creators on YouTube even demonstrate a step-by-step method that reduces a full Platinum run to under two minutes per game by using higher-value tile sets.
Even players unfamiliar with dominoes can quickly pick up the basics, as the rules are straightforward: match the ends of the tiles, block opponents, and aim to be the first to empty your hand. Because the trophy is considered “easy,” it attracts both casual gamers looking for a quick achievement and completionists hunting for every Platinum on their profile.
Dominoes Together is currently available for download directly from the PlayStation Store, and no additional hardware or subscription is required. It adds a social, low-commitment option to the growing catalogue of free titles that reward players with tangible in-game accolades.
